The Minoan palace of Zakros (Greek: Μινωικό παλάτι Ζάκρου) is the most isolated and recently excavated Minoan palace which is believed to have been a very important commercial harbor that connected Minoan Crete to Asia and Africa. The palace is smaller compared to the other three at Knossos, Malia and Phaistos but contains several water features not found in any other Minoan archeological site. The site is located in Kato Zakros and is very close to the exit of the Gorge of the Dead and the beach.
