The Gorge of the Dead (Greek: Φαράγγι των Νεκρών) was named after the caves which the Minoans used as burial places and is considered an easy hike that starts near the village of Zakros and ends near the Minoan palace of Kato Zakros. Τhe walk takes approximately 4 hours.
